Overwatch, is giving a Free-for-all Deathmatch Mode

Blizzard buffs four heroes on 'Overwatch' PTR, details here

Of course, numerous existing maps in Overwatch weren't designed for deathmatches, so Blizzard has tweaked many of them for this new mode. The new Deathmatch is a simple game mode where players and teams compete to earn the most kills, pretty self-explanatory.

Blizzard has modified a number of maps to accommodate these new modes, restricting the play area and tweaking the respawn system to better suit the pace of Deathmatch.

While Deathmatch is only available in Overwatching's PTR, deathmatch will be coming to all platforms at a later date.

Most of Overwatch revolves around two teams of six players going after objectives, like pushing a payload or capturing a zone.

Team Deathmatch and Free-for-All are identical to what we have already experienced in other first-person shooters. Details regarding the new map are still scarce and Blizzard has yet to provide images of what it even looks like.

The second mode is the introduction of Team Deathmatch which is a 6 vs. 6 and the first to 30 kills win. Regular Deathmatch is restricted to eight players only, while Team Deathmatch supports the standard 6v6 make up.

Add to the modes, Blizzard is also introducing a new map that is exclusively created for deathmatch.

In the individual mode, 8 players will face each other in battles where they will have to worry about eliminating as many enemies as possible. This chateau will contain hints to Widowmaker's backstory given that before marriage her name was Amelie Guillard - Chateau Guillard is her families estate in France. The developer has confirmed that the top half of players will get credits and loot boxes for their efforts.

What do you think of the addition of deathmatch to Overwatch?
