Owen: Hard to find any chinks in Man United's armour

Zinedine Zidane definitively ends Cristiano Ronaldo exit speculation

Jose Mourinho ruled out selling reported Real Madrid target David de Gea this off-season.

Real Madrid play their first friendly of the pre-season tonight, taking on Mourinho's Manchester United in Santa Clara.

Mourinho described De Gea as "really happy, focused and working better than ever" but has said that Argentine goalkeeper Sergio Romero will push him hard this season.

"I can guarantee that he is not going this season", Mourinho told reporters in San Jose ahead of Sunday's pre-season International Champions Cup match against Real Madrid.

"He is honest, he is very straight".

While talking to the press, Mourinho was also asked about his remaining transfer targets for the transfer window, to which the Portuguese coach replied: "You know, names is hard for me because as you know the players belong to clubs, the players they are in pre-seasons".

Prior to the £75million ($97.4 million) signing of Romelu Lukaku, United had been keen to do business with Real after pursuing now Chelsea frontman Alvaro Morata.

Add to that their forward line and midfield talent, and the fans will be expecting brilliance next season after a poor return last time out.

"You have contacts, you have feelings, you understand things".

"He's in a club in a very good situation now".

He previously played for America Mineiro and Santos, before moving to Porto, where he won two league titles in four years.

If you're a club like Manchester United and don't have Real Madrid sniffing around your biggest talents you should be anxious.

To be fair to the slick-haired goalkeeper, he never openly stated his desire to leave the club as many footballers do. And my feeling is that it will be very hard for him to go.

But while Lukaku will come under immediate pressure to start repaying his huge transfer fee, Giggs says that the ultimate responsibility for scoring more goals rests with the team and called on others players to "step up" to help their new team-mate.
