United Kingdom royals make pretzels, visit German cancer research center

Prince William and his wife Kate at the Polish presidential palace with President Andrzej Duda and his wife Agata Kornhauser Duda

Prince William and Princess Kate were accompanied by their two young children.

The notoriously competitive Duke and Duchess of Cambridge went head to head once again as they coxed opposing rowing teams on the River Neckar in Heidelberg, Germany yesterday as part of their royal visit to the country.

Princess Charlotte also later delighted waiting officials upon their arrival in Berlin by copying her mum and giving a diplomatic handshake as they disembarked their plane.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had an activity-packed itinerary for their fourth day of the Royal Tour, and Kate wore not one but three outfits.

But it seems the Duchess of Cambridge, 35, and William, 35, could be planning to expand their brood. "It's brilliant", said the Duchess, who looked thrilled with her award.

"Kate was given a present for a newborn today and joked to William: 'We will just have to have more babies, '" Murphy reported via Twitter.

Prince William and Catherine, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are now on a Royal visit to Poland.

Hundreds lined the square behind barriers to watch the couple as they chatted to residents enjoying the local produce.

William and Kate were given a tour of the memorial's information center and met 96-year-old Holocaust survivor Leon Schwarzbaum, who showed them old family photos.

Later the royal couple visited the port city of Gdansk, where large crowds turned out to see them.

On previous royal visits, Prince William and Catherine have gone head-to-head in a dragon boat race in Canada, and in a sailing contest in Auckland, according to PA. Once their tour of Germany and Poland is finished (and with no other royal tour on the cards yet) it could be their best opportunity.

Later this week, the family will head to Germany for a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
