Xiaomi Mi Max 2

After teasing for the last couple of weeks, Xiaomi has officially launched the Mi Max 2 smartphone today in India.

Taking on Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, Xiaomi has unveiled Mi Max 2 phablet in India.

The new Mi Max 2 takes inspiration from the Mi6 in terms of the back panel and opts this time for rounded edges which Xiaomi says provides much more comfortable one-handed use.

The smartphone's premium variant might be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 660 processor along with a 6GB of RAM and a 64GB of internal storage. Running MIUI 8 based on Android Nougat out of the box, Mi Max 2 will receive MIUI 9. In the camera department, the Mi Max 2 features a 12MP Sony IMX386 sensor on the rear with PDAF and a large 1.25μm pixel size.

The Xiaomi Mi 5X with MIUI 9 and dual camera setup will launch on July 26.

You also get Quick Charge 3.0 that as per company can recharge the battery to 68% in one hour, which will make the phablet easily last a day. The Mi Max 2 comes with Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0 which means that it can easily buy you a couple of hours in just 15-20 minutes.

Priced at Rs. 16,999, the new Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will be made available for purchase in India starting July 27, 2017 via both online and offline retail partners across the country in Matte Black colour variant. On the rear, we can also find the circular fingerprint sensor.

Mi Max 2 is not heavy and can be slid into the back pocket easily. The phone comes with a new MIUI theme and has various shortcuts and tweaks to enhance the everyday user experience.

India has become an important market for Xiaomi as it stands on the number 2 spot in the Indian smartphone market. The phone would be powered by a Snapdragon 625 chip with 4GB of RAM. It supports 4G, 3G, and 2G all network connections. However, the device will also be exclusively available on the Mi anniversary sale to be held on 20 and 21 July. It measures 174.1 x 88.7 x 7.6mm and weighs 211grams. As we know, Xiaomi also offers a range of smart home appliances, it will also offer Mi Air Purifier Bundle for Rs 10,998, Mi Router 3C for Rs 1,199 and Mi Wi-Fi Repeater 2 for Rs 799.
