Murray, Querrey locked at 1-1; Muller leads Cilic

Andy Murray celebrates winning a point against Sam Querrey

Cilic is 4-0 against Querrey, including Wimbledon matchups in 2009 and 2012.

The American played pretty close to flawless in the final two sets against Murray and in most of the match against Djokovic.

Fifteen years after his Wimbledon fortnight of glory, Australia's retired former champion Hewitt fancies seven-time Centre Court king Federer to steer through to the final on Sunday, and reckons it would make the day more ideal if Murray was on the other side of the net. "It's something that few people get to do, so it's really special".

Sam Querrey ups his game and dominates Murray in the fourth set to win it 6-1.

"Like I said at the beginning of the tournament, I'll be able to get through seven matches if that's what I have to do".

"I didn't start my best, but I just kept with it", Querrey continued. I don't know if the balls are a little bit slower. I'm proud of that. But it's obviously disappointing to lose at Wimbledon. There's obviously an opportunity there.

"I'm not going to go into all the details of exactly what my hip issues are", said 30-year-old Murray.

"He was acing me pretty much every time". Querrey has two of the biggest weapons in tennis in his serve and forehand. "So he was dictating all of the points".

1733 hrs IST: Andy Murray and Sam Querrey are both out and warming up. Berdych advanced when Novak Djokovic retired from their match with an injury.

That has contributed to Murray dropping serve six times already.

Two-time champion Murray ensured that his slump did not last long, though, as he broke Querrey at the start of the third. "Murray and Federer are my two favourites". The British No. 1 regained his composure, though, and dominated the tiebreak to inch ahead.

The Scot won just nine points on serve in each of the fourth and fifth sets, with an average serve speed down at just 108mph, allowing Querrey to tee off on the return. Murray converted his 4th break point in game 7 to open up a 4-3 gap, but he couldn't hold the lead, losing the next 3 games to drop the set by 6-4.

However, the injury may have flared up during his match with Querrey as he was visibly limping in the final stages of the match, as was clear in a tweet from BBC commentator David Law.

It is the second year in a row that the 29-year-old Californian upset the defending champion and top-seeded man at the All England Club. "He had a big win against Novak here a year ago and he's beaten Tsonga here, too". While in full working order, the match looked routine for Murray.
