Uber loses another top executive Emil Michael

Shortly after the blog post went viral, Uber CEO Travis Kalanick had announced an internal investigation into these allegations.

In any case, if the findings of the research paint a bleak picture or even before then, Holder's recommendation also included some proposed changes to how the company works.

Full view will be published shortly.

Uber's second in command, Emil Michael, the company's senior vice president for business and a close confidant of CEO Travis Kalanick, is leaving the company Monday as was predicted by several news sources over the weekend.

At a staff meeting that day, employees were notified that more than 200 harassment and discrimination claims had been investigated in a separate, parallel investigation by law firm Perkins Coie.

Uber's board is reportedly considering a leave of absence for Kalanick following his mother's death and father's injury in a serious boating accident last month. The company is locked in a legal battle with Waymo over self-driving auto tech and faces a high profile investigation into sexual harassment, along with numerous other smaller scandals and controversies.

She joins an Uber board that includes a voting majority made up of Kalanick, co-founder Garrett Camp, and the company's first employee, Ryan Graves, according to a person familiar with the company.

The company has more than 12,000 employees and more than 1.5 million drivers worldwide, who are classified as independent contractors rather than employees.

The report was prepared by former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder.

While it's possible that Kalanick and Michael may be placed on a leave of absence, it might not change things that much.

Alexander was sacked for obtaining and holding on to the medical records of a woman raped during an Uber ride in India.

Last week Uber's finance chief, Gautam Gupta, said he was leaving, following NY general manager, Josh Mohrer, and the head of Uber's self-driving unit, Anthony Levandowski, out of the door. A representative for the board told the New York Times Sunday said the directors "unanimously voted" to adopt the recommendations, which will be represented to the company Tuesday. Michael's departure was reportedly one of the recommendations made in that probe. An Uber spokeswoman also declined to comment further. The board has been looking for a chief operating officer to help Kalanick run the company since March.
