Ariana Grande holds benefit concert in wake of terror attacks

The show opened to a minute of silence and a performance by Marcus Mumford of Mumford and Suns.

Singer Robbie Williams then took to the stage to lead the audience in a rousing rendition of his Manchester tribute song, "Strong". Justin Bieber and Coldplay are also scheduled to perform.

Ariana said she had not planned to play so many of her big hits but changed her mind after meeting the mother of Olivia Campbell, 15, who was among the victims of the blast at her concert.

"Please remain vigilant at all times and report anything suspicious that causes you concern" to an anti-terrorist hotline, Greater Manchester Police Assistant Chief Constable Garry Shewan said.

"Before we go any further, I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for being here today".

WILL.I.AM sparked mass confusion with fans watching the Manchester One Love gig when he twice addressed the crowd as "London" when performing with his group The Black Eyed Peas.

She continued: "I've always loved Manchester and not just tonight, it's always felt like a home away from home to me".

£10million has been raised for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund so far, with £2million raised in during the three hours of One Love Manchester through text and online donations. "When you look into the audience at my shows, you see a handsome, diverse, pure, happy crowd. I wanna take a moment to introduce the next performer who's been my idol since I was 11 years old", said Ariana, introducing Imogen, who sang "Hide and Seek".
