Iranian film "A Man of Integrity" wins 'Certain Regard' competition at Cannes

Robert Pattinson has confessed he faked his accent at auditions as he didn't want people to know he was born in the United Kingdom because he felt it stopped him getting certain roles.

In Good Time Robert Pattinson portrays Constantine "Connie" Nikas, who has to go through a risky journey to order to try and get his brother out of jail after a bank robbery does awry. Apart from a big paycheck, the films earned him the label of "movie star" but Pattinson wants to be known as an actor and not a pin-up poster boy.

According to USA Today, after Sandler's film premiered Sunday night at Cannes, "it was met with rapturous reviews and a four-minute standing ovation", with critics surprised to find themselves considering the comic for an Oscar.

"I always wanted to look like I've been street cast. I would have another character to go to an audition to play a different character". The English actor has been in Cannes discussing and promoting the film, and during his exchange with The Hollywood Reporter Robert Pattinson admitted that he was anxious his celebrity status would ruin the shoot, which he described as "guerilla-style".

But none of these performances have drawn as much praise as Pattinson's work in Good Time. It destroys the illusion of it. No one really sees that. "I was feeding into the character, where it's basically you're trying to disappear, you're trying to be a ghost in a crowd and stuff", he explained.

Robert, 31, confirmed the story, adding, "I would do an impression". You've got these pock marks in the skin and no one recognises you. "I mean, we shot an entire movie on the street in NY and not a single person even took a ... picture - like, it was insane". That's a private thing.
