Los Angeles Chargers 2017 schedule release: Games, dates and times

Report Raiders to make Los Angeles return on New Year's Eve

While the Rams have every reason in the world to be excited about the potential surrounding the upcoming NFL Draft, Thursday's release of the 2017 NFL schedule helped take that excitement to a whole new level.

It's actually pretty fascinating to watch their honest reactions in real time - particularly because this is McVay's first year as a head coach and the team is looking to bounce back from one of their most controversial seasons ever. Last season, the Saints cruised to a blowout 49-21 in a game that Jared Goff threw his first three touchdowns of his National Football League career.

Chargers offensive tackle Russell Okung gets to take on his former team at his old home stadium after turning down the team's option after the 2016 season. Most of the rest of the schedule will be played on December 24, with no night game. The visiting team has won all three contests.

The second half of the slate starts with a home game against Minnesota, scheduled for Sunday, November 12th. Their series span 37 games with Minnesota leading, 21-14-2.

To say the 2016 season was a disappointment for the Los Angeles Rams would be a huge understatement when considering the expectations surrounding the team during their first year back in California. One week later, the Redskins travel to New Orleans to face the Saints on the 19th.

In addition, the Rams and Chargers will play a preseason game at the LA Memorial Coliseum on August 26. The Rams hold a 10-5-1 record vs. the Eagles at home. The final road game is on Christmas Eve where they face the Tennessee Titans.

The Rams were also interested in finding out how their London "home" game would fit within the schedule, noting that it comes at a time when they'll have four road or neutral site games in five weeks.

Then, the Rams head up to San Francisco for Week 3, followed by a trip to Dallas for Week 4. For information about Rams season tickets and single-game tickets, fans may visit www.therams.com/tickets.
