A deadly accident shut down at least one lane of traffic on Interstate 5 in Federal Way Saturday morning.

Thomas, an All-Star guard for the Boston Celtics, reportedly found out about her death while participating in the team's practice on Saturday afternoon.

Isaiah Thomas, the Celtics star point guard, tweeted Thursday that he would remain off social media as the Celtics prepare for their first-round matchup against the Chicago Bulls on Sunday night.

Chyna J. Thomas, the 22-year-old sister of the 2016-17 NBA MVP candidate, was driving her 1998 Toyota Camry when she drifted off the road and hit a Jersey barrier and then a sign post.

The accident reportedly occurred around 5 a.m. when Chyna Thomas' vehicle faded into the left shoulder of the highway.

A vehicle driven by Chyna Thomas, 22, was traveling south near 288th Street in Federal Way around 5 a.m. Saturday when it drifted off the road. "The thoughts & prayers of the entire organization are with Isaiah & his family". The police report said she wasn't wearing a seat belt.
